Saturday, April 1, the finissage of the Skate Heart project exhibition ( @skateheartroma ) curated by Davide Orlando was held at ULTRABLU ( P.za Americo Capponi 7, Rome).
Ultrablu is a multidisciplinary reality dedicated to enhancing diversity. The space hosts the visual and performing arts atelier, the gallery, the events space, the publishing house, the diversity bookshop and the café-cocktail bar.
In Skate Heart, skate decks become true works of art, and in recent weeks over 40 artists including street artists, tattoo artists, designers, painters and illustrators have presented their own personalized and hand-painted decks.
During the Skateboarding Talks we saw the familiar faces of Gaspare Gentile, Jonathan Levin and “er Chicoria” who retraced their experience in the world of skateboarding that began in the late 80s, a world that has evolved in these 40 years at unimaginable times.
The exhibited works are now available for sale to the public and part of the proceeds will be donated to Skate Therapy of the BNKR Bunker Hybrid Skatepark ( @bnkrhybridskatepark ), a project that aims to help people with disabilities with the practice of skateboarding.
