The shoe was born thanks to the collaboration between Nike SB and Fly Streetwear, a Shanghai skateshop founded by Jeff Han in 1999 which has contributed to the growth and transformation of local street culture.
The Dunk Low Fly Streetwear features royal blue suede panels on a gray fog base, and is enriched by a series of details inspired by the gardenias sold on the streets of Shanghai, attached by citizens to their clothes to be used as a perfume. The Swoosh stitched on the sides emulates a small bunch of these flowers, together with a metallic strip, which reproduces a brooch, and the upper part of the heel colored green, like their stems; a small illustration is embroidered below the Swoosh and the insole is adorned with Chinese calligraphy.
