Located about 125 miles south of Los Angeles, Arts-Rec has been a hub for the San Diego skate scene since 2018. Founded by pro skater Kellen James , the organization was born from his dedication to local culture and his roots. With two physical locations, the project reflects the dual nature of California skateboarding, offering a curated selection of products and organizing events that reflect the city's creative energy.

To celebrate this identity, Nike SB and Arts-Rec have collaborated on two silhouettes inspired by the landscapes, wildlife, and energy of a local wildlife institution. The Dunk Low Pro features a soft tumbled leather upper in Rust Pink and Rough Green , accented with a muted black panther print, debossed details, and a custom animal-print sockliner . A translucent outsole completes the look, along with matching laces.
The Air Trainer 1 , on the other hand, features the same palette and naturalistic concept: furry suede materials, embossed animal print details, an adjustable Arts-Rec-branded toe strap , and custom graphics on the insole. Both models reinterpret the San Diego skate aesthetic with a perfect mix of style, storytelling, and premium construction.
